 Unless that relay hates you and deletes your relay list too, which it absolutely can, of course.
It only helps if relays want to censor one post made by you, but are unwilling to censor everything else you post. 

 Relay lists are copied across many relays, some of which are designed for storing relays lists profiles and contacts  

 NIP-65 relay lists should be pushed to a different set of relays. Some (e.g. purplepag.es) offer this specific service.
