Viktor, why am I unable to simply Like a nostr post on Amethyst without having to use an emoji too? Each time I want to Like a post Amethysts forces me to choose an emoji to go along with the Like. None of my other nostr clients do this, nor any other social media app either for that matter. Is there a way to just do a Like without the emoji?
You can click and hold the like button to add or remove emojis that you like to react. Then you can add several heart options from the emoji list.
Now, likes by themselves are very lame and don't mean much for those receiving them. We strongly recommend to choose meaningful emojis that communicate your reaction to a post better.
I have to disagree with you on that. I doubt Lyn Alden & Jameson Lopp give two sh*ts whether I added emoji's to the Likes I just gave them on their posts tbh. To suggest a like is lame without an emoji added to is purely subjective on your part Viktor, I'm certainly not disappointed if someone likes a post/comnent/picture of mine without one, in fact I don't care at all. Emoji's are fun for sure but they really aren't essential to liking what someone has posted. Anyway thanks for the response 👍
