If you donate to republicans, it looks like you get targeted by pretty nasty sms spam campaigns.  

It looks like someone's compromised the lists of the republican party and then sends phising sms messages in the guise of the voice of a candidate.  

Shady .party urls involved.  Lots of redirects & 404 shenangans when you click on the links.  

The whole system is really really rotten.

I don't even donate but get those anyway. I was a registered republican about a decade ago. Then I realized that was pointless in CT, so I switched to Libertarian,  which is even more pointless, but at l least it's principled.
