@Ronnie21093 @supersid You can give GM privileges to anyone you want in-game though, it's true that you'd need to keep your PC open at all times, but that's not a big deal actually.

As for the OS, eh, that's a problem you need to solve. Yarrrr!
@151a46cf @supersid I do have an M.2 drive with an OS on it (cloned from my SATA SSD), only problem is that I lost the heatsink and M.2 screw that came with my motherboard. Replacements shoyld be arriving later today.

As for keeping Foundry VTT open, I don't have a spare PC I can dedicate to that task. And with only one license, I'd occassionally have to shut it down to run my other games that I use Foundry for. (Sure, I *could* use Roll20, but fuck Roll20)
@Ronnie21093 @supersid Roll20 isn't that bad. You won't have lighting, sure, but you can live with that.
@151a46cf @supersid  Limited storage and upload sizes is a bitch.
@Ronnie21093 @supersid You use Dungeondraft just like me, I can give you my settings. Otherwise, just upload the music somewhere and when a DM needs it, they can add it for the session and delete it afterwards.
Also, do you need all of your maps permanently on Roll20? Add those to the Google Drive as well and when they're needed, they can be added to Roll20 as well.

Do you know what I do for my monsters? I made tokens for all of them, added their stats and when I need a random encounter or anything, I just copy paste 'em in.
@151a46cf @supersid I also have Wonderdraft. Both are nice to have :ina_nod:

And it isn't just about keeping the maps on Roll20, but also uploading them. As a free user, I've had times where I had to reduce the quality of the map SIGNIFICANTLY because it was too big for the upload limit. Foundry doesn't pull that shit.

Two other Foundry features I like is the ability to unlink tokens from sheets and the ability to add plugins to my games.
@Ronnie21093 @supersid I don't think a bit of pixelation will kill anyone, man. You could also just make super high quality maps but cut them up into their own piece, so they can fit the upload limit.

Plugins are obviously very cool, but that's a whole lot of work that others did for you in Foundry VTT. It's the same for Roll20 (only that you have to go Pro, which I would not recommend to anyone sane). As for "unlinking tokens" and all that crap, Roll20 does have a similar feature actually, I never used it because uh, it's too much work for something I can just do on my PC directly when the UI on Roll20 is garbage.

As I said, I use AlwaysOnTopper with screenshots and I'm doing just fine keeping track of what is needed from my mobs.
@151a46cf @supersid Huh, Roll20 can unlink tokens? Is that a recent feature, or is it just *really* buried under a bunch of other shit? By your comment, I'm guessing the latter.

Still, unless I *really* have to (like in the case of me wanting to run something and only Roll20 the system), I prefer using Foundry VTT over Roll20. For the case of PF1E, I can use Foundry
@Ronnie21093 @supersid I'm just telling you you have options, you outright told me you can't properly run Foundry because you have several games going. :angery1:
Maybe I'm misinterpreting what "unlinking" is, explain it to me. I know that you can give a token full stats.
@151a46cf @supersid Basically, you can have a single copy of a sheet with an unlinked token. Drag that sheet onto the board, and a token will appear with its own sheet separate from the sheet in the directory.

So you could have one goblin sheet in the directory, 10 tokens of that goblin on the board and each would have their own sheet copied from the directory. Changes made to one token's sheet won't affect the directory sheet or any of the other tokens' sheets.
Despite being 13 percent of the population, Africans commit over 56 percent of the violent crime in the United States. If you control for able bodied, military age (between 15 and 45) blacks, it's closer to 6 percent of the population causing over 56 percent of the violent crime. :nutty_kek:
