"The free market constitutes an information-gathering process, able to call up, and put to use, widely dispersed information that no central planning agency, let alone any individual, could know as a whole, possess or control."

I have always been fascinated by the concept of complex adaptive systems, like ecologies (rainforests, corall reefs) and economies.

They’re always the most beautiful when left alone, doing its thing.
Yup. Central planners believe that society can be likened to a car that they can just drive as they please and that the vehicle is just a passive chunk of metal that exist to be moved from A to some destination B that bureaucrats have decided in advance.

In reality a society is more akin to an archipelago of ecosystems with emergent properties, a collaboration of sovereign, free agents with individual liberties and private property rights.

More freedom = greater prosperity.
 I couldn’t agree more
