Here you can see i added them, then searched the tag #gnostr. The gray part are hidden posts, which each add a 1 px wide line. Tvose are hidden because i also blocked the words 1995/, 1996/, 1997/

ohhh it's because they are not writing the tag in the message itself.. the hashtag is only added to the tags in the Nostr event 🙄.

Yes, but only removed the posts that had the tags written in them,Ike your screenshot.
anything involving recognising stuff in the content field is really in the realms of "search" and the client generating events with hashtags in the content and not adding them to the tags with a t is ... naughty
