 @5e747d35 oh my. I got sprayed by one as a kid - I stumbled upon it rooting around our garbage cans. My parents wouldn't let me back in the house for hours after!

That's the worst! We keep chickens and one night, a skunk squeezed into the coop. It was attacking the birds so I had no choice but to wade in with the gloves and grab it. I got sprayed in the mouth. If you think that stuff smells bad, it tastes worse. Then, after I had bravely rescued her chickens my wife made me sleep on the porch.

Strangely enough, I still think skunks are adorable... 😁
 @5e747d35 they’re adorable 😍❣️😂 wow, you’ve had some *intimate* encounters! 😭

I learned recently from the book (the Power of Habit), Fabreeze (unscented) gets rid of skunk’s odor. (I didn’t know the product was unscented when first debuted, and flopped, but I digress…😁)

The only thing that worked for me was to get some exfoliant and literally scrub off the top layer of my skin. Weirdly, it didn't really linger in my mouth (which is very good).

He was a juvenile striped skunk. Very cute! I tried to get a picture but he was too sneaky. If I got too close he started stomping his little feet to let me know there was about to be trouble. Smelly but adorable.
