 What's the best home router to look at in the year of our Lord 2023?  The last one I bought was a Netgear R7000 which was a disappointment to say the least, and now it's apparently fucking off and dying.

 i bought a cheap d-link that was on the Open WRT compatibility list and have used it for at least 6 years, and it was used when i got it.  as a bonus it can use the USB port to tether hotspots and phones for another WAN
