I grew up in a beach city at the border with Bulgaria, part of Dobruja area, which used to belong to the Ottoman empire until 100 years ago, at the unification and rulling of Romania territory by the Austro-Hungarian empire. Almost half of my neighbors were Turkish people, also considering the big Roma population also counting as Muslims in that are. Our house was next to the mosque, the oldest mosque in Romania, and late I did understand what that weir chant early every morning actually meant. My mothers' family, where I was living most of the time, was not a spiritual one. They were enduring, hard working people and that is also an important value to pass on. Still I always had a strong intimate relation with God, a deep awareness of a higher self guiding and protecting. For me, it took the form of Christian Orthodoxy since this is the spiritual contract under which I was born. Still, I came to meet, live in and then study all I came across about the Islamic space. And I fully agree with their fundamental belief - That there is only one God. A God which exists beyond religion, which is only a designated path towards the Sacred that teaches us how to let go of the ego which stands in the way of the Light we all reflect for each other, taking the form of Love. Too often ethnical differences turned into ideological conflicts stripping religions of their spirituality. We have left the important matter of our humanity and soul evolution in the hands of sharp tongued people who have turned us into human resources. We need to protect the Sacred and the cultures or minor groups who still anchor it into the world, no matter what religion or branch of religion they are under. This form of spiritual extinction is the same process happening in our natural life, where we have killed around 80% of the wild life creation living in direct connection with Nature. This last year we have been watching the Holy land, which is a symbol of the sacred for Christian people, being under attack of heavy machinery, destructing and shedding innocent blood. And all we can do is watch it and comment about it in the online space, like it were some football game. The drugs, the pills, the distractions we lean on in order to keep being "productive" are numbing the feelings in our bodies stripping us our humanity. What are we passing forward to the next generation? Trauma, ignorance and enslavement contracts? Leaders must either take action or step aside. Because tailoring strong politically correct images can only take you this far.
