I'd very interested to see the percentages of depression rates in bitcoiners vs non-bitcoiners
Just make sure to poll them during a bull run
Bitcoin makes you better at waiting and not getting worked up over the ups and down. When you have a longer time horizon, small shot doesn’t upset or depress you as easily. I’d be interested in that research too.
I feel like bitcoin and the I-Ching stem from the same spirit
I-Ching is something I never heard of before. Just looked it up and it is something I’ll investigate more on my next trip to the library. Thanks 🫡
Interesting insight -- the more I study bitcoin, the more I feel the deep wisdom of the Dao
 One of the same 🫂
I'd wager, without proof or any real indication of this opinion, that they're similar rates. What might be more interesting is to see how they handle and live with their depression. I've known several (none are Bitcoiners) with depression and with manic depression or bipolar afflictions. Half are highly successful in their chosen fields and the other half are struggling with life in general. Chemical imbalances in the brain can be a real bitch that need not just recognition by the afflicted but also an immensely strong support network and family to cope with.
And the depressed bitcoiners wear it differently.
As the old saying goes: Ignorance is bliss. I’d guess the more awake u r, the more u might tend to be pessimistic. On the other hand, bitcoin - and Nostr - offer real hope for a better world.
How could we find data on this
