Traveling by train from Edinburgh to Berlin should NOT feel as exhausting as flying from Edinburgh to Australia. Just saying! (I can now say I've done both, and this comparison is not hyperbole.)
@0c1a9324 Curious, what makes it feel so exhausting?
@0c1a9324 DB seem to have a VERY casual approach to train information updates and rerouting.

Last time I tried to go from Hamburg to Kiel I almost accidentally ended up in Denmark.
@0c1a9324 absolutely! As someone who loves train travel I'll concede that it is extremely exhausting. Night trains would be better for those of us who can rest in that environment, and so are night ferries. Unfortunately, the former don't exist for the most part, and the latter are prohibitively expensive.

If they ever offer ferry ops from Scotland to NL/Germany again I'll probably be a regular.
@0c1a9324 Here in Germany, not traveling by car is severely punished.
@0c1a9324 taking the Eurostar from London to Paris was one of harrowing and stressful experiences of my life.

Flying from London to Paris took about two hours, including the uber to the airport.
@0c1a9324 What brings you to Berlin?
