Russian strikes on Ukrainian city of Kharkiv kill at least two, injure many

Russian strikes on a DIY hardware store in Kharkiv, Ukraine, killed at least two people and injured 24 others. The strikes triggered a huge blaze that fire crews were battling to contain. The mayor of Kharkiv said many people were unaccounted for, and up to 200 people could have been in the hypermarket at the time of the strikes. The attack is being described as an act of terrorism. Russian troops have been targeting Kharkiv for several weeks, and there was also an incursion into northern areas of Kharkiv Region earlier this month. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy called for more air defense to protect the city. Moscow denies deliberately targeting civilians.
