 GM Tea. 🍵✨ collected some more yarrow yesterday. The tea bag is with cinnamon, hop and orange peel.

Yarrow in German is „Schafgarbe“ (Schaf means sheep 🐑) because sheep like to eat that plant. I thought it was because it looks like sheep, maybe that’s also true. Germans get very creative when naming things lol!

I use it to support my cycle because it’s known to be antispasmodic. 💚 and yes, I feel like it helps. 🙏🏼 #wildherbs https://image.nostr.build/7009a87e79fca0f174530e689141ac69cabce2f690ca1337b7aab680dd12eee1.jpg

 GM 🫂💚 Yarrow in Romanian is 'coada șoricelului,' which translates to "mouse tail."
 That’s a long word for tail you & @12c805a5 got in your language 😯
 Tail  = Coada
 Șoricel = Little mouse
 Aww okay, I could have bet that coada means mouse 😁 thanks!!
 I read in a book of old gardening lore people used to tie it to their tools because it helps you stop bleeding if you cut yourself. I have had a quite a few times to try it out since then and it works pretty much instantly from when you first apply it. Its really amazing how effective it is and if you follow up with some comfrey and calendula your back to gardening pretty soon after.
 Smart! Thanks for this fun fact. 🌿🙌🏼
 The latin name, Achillea millefolium is coming from Achiles, the hero from Trojan war who use it to treat his soldiers wounds
 Wow I never made that connection before 😃
 The story is that he learned about the medicinal properties from Chiron, the centaur
