Good morning! One fault with the human brain is that we get hung up on terminology. Somehow there seems to be a short circuit when it comes to understanding that all terminology is just a way of communicating and the term itself is irrelevant as long as the people the term pertains to understand the meaning.
gm! i see the opposite—that very few people get hung up on terminology. as a general rule, it’s good to be as precise and accurate as possible. clarity is important to know things as well as one may, in addition to fixing or discovering more beyond what is at hand. to “understand the meaning” without clarity (or precision) could perhaps be closer to feelings or emotional responses. feelings are often vague and a hinderance to understanding.
