I commend you on wanting to spread the good word of Satoshi in your local area.
The scary part would be is you just don’t know the people.
The wrench attack potential is real.
I’m an intimidating sized dude but an attack is always on the cards if people play their cards right.
I’ve never been to any meetup just for that reason.
Only bitcoiners I know are workmates.
Exactly, I feel safe in my area with locals, I avoid the town centre Friday and Saturday nights but it’s a very safe place to live. I have a couple of pals local who own a bit of ‘crypto’ (I know, I know…) so they could be up for coming along but I really just want to network around corn specifically.

I’m away from home at the moment but I’ve strongly believed in being the change I want to see, which is why I run my own server, Fediverse instances etc. despite being unable to code.

It would be great to build a IRL network to trade skills with and attempt some kind of circular economy. Everything starts out small right?
The circular economy sounds great and all.
I’ve occasionally bought things with Bitcoin when it’s available.
Also having people to talk corn with in real life does sound like fun.
Let me know how you go
 Will do!
