Bitcoin L1 will only ever be a store of value at best at this stage, thanks to the direction it has taken. That's the direction everyone has pushed it in, and well, this is the result. Couple hundred here, couple hundred there.

 I remember that transacting on L1 during 2021 boom was expensive and slow, and L2 wasn't there. So why bother?
