@all I have reached out… sadly it’s not as easy as a purple pill when your back catalog has legacy royalties. Big artists won’t be able to use their back catalog in V4V without convincing their past shareholders but we CAN create a future where artists control their own businesses and revenue for the first time ever. I sometimes feel like I time travel between the future and the past ✨ straddling both is hard. Please keep sending people our way and @PhantomPowerMusic is the best place to learn more and understand how to navigate this.

Do past royalty agreements affect future work?

Legacy artists (like Lily, U2, Weird Al - anyone) with current or past publishing agreements will have challenges distributing a back catalog in V4V. It can be done, but it takes some finessing, that's where nostr:nprofile1qqsxj7j6m0urzhm8lgsalud8aqz5zt4a52s6mhep3g8e8cg6hte03rqpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7duuwhd can help.
