 @الفجر الباسم   I am not in favor of huge sports events like Olympics, World Cups, etc, fundamentally because they are destructive to societies and countries that host them

 @الفجر الباسم   some main reasons: huge resources are utilized that are not of much use to local communities once the games are over. I also do not particularly enjoy the cultural politics underlying 'big' professional sports events
