War sucks.
Fiat did this.
And it's losing
Yes it does! And #bitcoin can make war less likely to happen. There are 2 great pieces in the BITCOIN & WAR section on our site https://bitcoin.rocks https://image.nostr.build/5e42b4618b56a91653b1f57f214732f5674406044144f4490e5affb05a707f8e.jpg
Bitcoin is literally an indefinite and ongoing non-lethal war as a first resort of dispute resolution. If you dont understand this you don't understand Bitcoin
Thanks Mr. Lowery
We'll need more weapons if we want to win this (non-lethal) war. Bitcoin is not enough, just a piece of the puzzle.
Bitcoin isn't going away and as more nations adopt it they are uniting as a cohesive pack of physical power projectors, even if they are adversarial nations with no trust. Using conventional means of power projection to stop this protocol is no longer a practical goal for any nation who would want to stop it. We are moving away from mutually assuring destruction for security to mutually assuring the preservation of our species as a whole. It will probably get a bit ugly for the species to establish the initial state of the newly emerging dominance hierarchy. After that initial power competition things will calm down and the entire planet will be a cohesive united organization who competes over Bitcoins network. There is a good chance that the US has already lost this initial competition... it's likely that Russian leadership already has the largest amount of Bitcoin on the planet (by a lot) and its now a matter of how long it takes US leadership to capitulate.
Life has been at war for close to 4 billion years. The difference between humans and the rest of the animals is that other animals settle disputes using physical power the moment they arise. Humans on the other hand attempt and fail to put off using physical power to settle disputes as we try to use other dysfunctional methods of settling our disputes until finally things boil over and we engage in massive scale physical power competition. Bitcoin is war as a first resort. People just don't recognize it that way because it's non-lethal. It's the same function in a different form. War is the only systemically secure way to achieve consensus on the legitimate state of ownership and chain of custody of resources.
agreed - as elaborated nicely and clearly by Jason P Lowery
Jason sees the world in such an objectively clear way its astonishing.
Yes. But war as we know, hear about and see. We all should get to fight our own. When CBDCs are here, it makes also a war. Maybe even more violent (under the surface) than many can expect
Buy chickens, go #solarpunk Seriously, you'll need it.
Absolutely! though... it will be difficult with chickens ;) coz I'm a nomad (but I also do it to know where I can go to 'live' safely and peacefully. Travelling to learn about different parts of the world vs. local people there with whom I want or don't want to share this world). And I can already bake my own bread, even without an oven, make preserve foods and quickly start my own mini vegetable/herbal garden. Plus of course I do Bitcoin. So I guess I'll be just fine :D

Yes, Marty, it does! Don't we all talk about how bad the money and the broader financial system are and how their demise affects many other aspects of life (nutrition, education, etc.)? Well, somehow, the breakdown has to manifest itself, and war is to be expected. Some groups of people wanted this war and turned down what I imagine to be plenty of opportunities for a peaceful resolution. Those guys suck. I have not been a party to this dispute and refuse to spend much time on it. Let's focus on building.
