Seems to me, and I could be way off base, that oil cannot defend itself any more without authoritarian support, and money people like money, and oil is money, so money people want fascism the way a toddler wants ice cream.

The wealthy in this scenario will kill us all so they can Midas it up in a fortified compound after the Fall.

The bankers are the front line workers of the oligarchy, but this one was stupid enough to expose himself at a domestic terrorist event…so I expect the BVCU board members will be making some executive shuffles anytime now.
