 COMPUTER SAVANTS, URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!!

I just spent 5vhours writing something complex and difficult. When I highlighted to copy and paste, the whole thing disappeared. All that is left is the letter "T". 😧😢☹️🤯I am several clicks and open- closes away from the event. It's not in the trash. Is there a way to find what was there like 2 hours ago? Help!!!

What is the name of your word processing software? Maybe there is a temp file somewhere on your machine.
And, did you try Control + Z  ?? (to reverse the accidental deletion)

 OMG EVERYONE - BREAKTHROUGH!!So I desperately noodled around, holding my breath even. I tried Firefox, other browsers, then someone said to open Drive (?) online and then also Google Docs I think, then I found document and a weird drop-down under doc title like a compressed Word toolbar. Anyway then I found Version opened wrong one opened right one & THERE IT WAS!! All the text is all there but crossed out. I couldn't copy and paste but was able to screenshot so worst case I retype... THANK YOU!
