 It's similar, but I think they are using different kinds. Satcom uses kind 1, which appears in your timeline. This new use uses nip22, which doesn't appear in your timeline  

 Nice. Yeah I ised satcom for thr first time today and saw that. Will look into this. 

 I put the project on the back burner because it didn't garner any interest. But haven't forgotten about it.
Still a bit buggy (switching tabs while sidebar is open) and missing some features like reactions, replies and zaps.
