To celebrate World Lion Day let me introduce you to Lorkulup!
He is currently the most famous lion in the Mara, part of the Black Rockers Pride with his other 2 brothers-sadly his 3rd brother Olobor was killed by herdsmen this year.
Loki’s mouth was injured during a buffalo hunt, then he was speared in his mouth by Mara herdsmen, survived both and is a fantastic father by allowing his cubs to always eat before others - something which hardly any male lions do.
