That McCarthy was able to hash out a stop gap measure at the last minute to prevent a government shutdown--with Dem cooperation!--suggests in no uncertain terms that the GOP's goal is to prevent government from working as it should. 

How you could come to any other conclusion after this is beyond me. 

 @2a70c54d Seems like that's been their plan for years, only just getting worse as time goes by. Step 1: Sabotage government programs. Step 2: Yell to people, "See? Gubmint dudn't werk!" Step 3: Lather, rinse repeat.
