They did this all summer too.
It would claim 96° heatwave and then it'd only get up 88°. Hopefully the same will happen. I don't want to prematurely pull all my pepper plants out of the garden

Usually it changes within 24 hours for corrections on NOAA. I saw that a lot this summer as well -- diversity hires ? 🙄 

It won't get a ground freeze and you could cover your peppers.

I think they do it to get everyone all worked up about the heat so they can push climate change. 
I was planning on taking cuttings off the peppers today so they could heal before the cold snap. Now I am questioning that. I hate these types of uncertainties.  It makes my Gemini decision making brain short circuit 🤣

I get that! In the past couple of years NOAA has had these type of issues, before more accurate - so 'Climate BS' is the goal!
