Tennessee hires Marshall's Kim Caldwell as the Lady Vols' 4th coach in NCAA era

Tennessee has hired Marshall coach Kim Caldwell as the fourth head coach in the NCAA era of the Lady Vols' program. Caldwell, who won the 2024 Maggie Dixon NCAA Division I Rookie Coach of the Year award, will be introduced at a news conference on Tuesday. She replaces Kellie Harper, who was fired after five seasons at Tennessee. Caldwell has a winning track record, including leading Glenville State to the 2022 Division II national title. Tennessee athletic director Danny White said Caldwell is the ideal person to restore the Lady Vols' program to national prominence.
