The American Redstart is a Setophaga warbler that acts like a flycatcher, sallying forth from its perch to catch flying insects, also capturing its prey on foliage and branches. We're getting a lot of Redstarts, this fall migration. The species declined by ~1.1% per year between 1966 and 2017 in the U.S., but increased in Canada, according to All About Birds. #nature #NaturePhotography #birds #Wildlife #naturecommunity #photography #BirdsOfMastodon #birding #birdphotography #warbler https://s3.nl-ams.scw.cloud/birdstown-storage/media_attachments/files/111/021/764/048/379/638/original/1f12027319919092.jpeg
