I think this hurts because it’s true.

Good software takes a lot of time and effort. Needs to be able to financially sustain itself so it can go the distance.

There’s just not enough funding so we have a lot of half-complete hobby projects.
That’s cause majority of it is a hobby

devs use nostr as a playground

only those with grants can afford to do it full-time
β–² β–Ό
And those who do it full time have been doing great
100% specially for the size of the teams
β–² β–Ό
 Agreed.

I’m very grateful to those putting in the work, with or without funding.

At this stage, I think it’s more important we tinker and discover new use cases than make polished copycats of things that already exist.

But if the goal is mass adoption, user experience will be most important.
I like how everyone takes a different approach to building on nostr some will make those copycat clones, and others like Pablo make brand new things that hadn’t existed.. arkinox is one of those devs like Pablo building something that doesn’t exist outside of nostr..

I think the goal of mass adoption will be by individual clients, not by the protocol as a whole n all of the micro apps, those clients whose goal that is will def have to prioritize user experience like you say.

People have been lowkey noting about this all day.
I’ve seen it everywhere πŸ‘€ she sure knows how to make the timeline active

We don't have enough people working hard enough as volunteers. Tell people to work harder.
