Bitcoin accounts and Nostr are exactly the same thing. One just has an npub prefix, and the other has a tb prefix. But that is for DISPLAY purposes only. This being the case, nostr has best-in-class property rights via the bitcoin block chain. Nobody is using this yet. But when activated, it is a super power.

I dont know. It's been central to the protocol since the beginning. I think the main focus is to reach feature parity with twitter, right now.
