Thanks for the feedback, y’all. I just switched back to @Blink – The Everyday Bitcoin Wallet because apparently @Alby isn’t working even though I pay a monthly fee for Alby Hub and bought several million sats worth of channel liquidity. nostr:note15z46hlf98e9fyp40exvanw8uleetxeff5zr3fgkyumnl377k0fpshjx8cj
Did you change your Lightning address from walker@getalby.com to something different? If not you should message @Moritz or @bumi for support. I just tested sending the same amount to your Alby address and mine from Primal and got an error with only yours. https://image.nostr.build/a625eddf0d8f3543bfab4dcb6b95611ae1cea791370f8407a840410a78fd2812.jpg https://image.nostr.build/f3b474e2f609625958979273c9d6c45a185d8d525eda6ca30edad0cb4a1cc27d.jpg
Definitely didn’t change my Lightning address on Alby… Last payment I received to walker@getalby.com was last night just before midnight, and none since then. But had a report prior to that that there was some trouble zapping me. https://getalby.com/p/walker
@Alby definitely needs to take a look. I was able to pay a 10 todd test via invoice (your page) using Primal and another 10 todds from my Alby Hub but Inwasn’t able to pay your Lightning address from Primal wallet directly.
I've checked the logs on Alby's side and since you've unlocked the node payments seem to work again. Can you confirm this? An email notification has been sent. Do you have suggestions on how to do this better that it does not get missed. To keep up with the latest version we from time to time force updates but send email notifications before that. We will send more of those in the future. Users also can always manually update ideally. Because you own the keys the unlock to start the node with your password is required.
is your node started and unlocked? when in doubt log into your hub. did you get an email in the last days? there was an automatic version update scheduled after which you have to unlock your node again (because it is restarted). if this is the case you should have gotten a few emails about it.
This issue was likely due to a recent automatic update. We’ve been experimenting with automatic updates, which have their pros and cons: everything has trade-offs. While sometimes necessary, these updates require manual unlocking since Alby Hubs are self-custodial wallets, and the password is used to encrypt the hub. For any issues, we recommend reaching out at https://getalby.com/help. We aim to respond as quickly as possible, and if we're not available in live chat, your message will be sent to us via email, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. 😊🙏 -JP
if ur service restarts you gotta input the login pw again to get it started again so that nwc strings, sending, receiving all work.
