MORE CLIENTS SHOULD SUPPORT DISPOSABLE NPUBS. AMETHYST IS LEADING THE WAY HERE. WOULD BE THE SINGLE BIGGEST PRIVACY WIN FOR ONLINE SPEECH ACROSS THE BOARD.

NORMALIZE SINGLE USE DISPOSABLE IDENTITIES. AS THE REST OF THE INTERNET MOVES TOWARD LINKING EVERY ACTION TO LEGAL IDENTITIES, NOSTR REPRESENTS A BRIGHTER PATH.
 🤘🫡🐕⚡
 Absolutely 'Onward' with this one.

 Coracle has this

Unfortunately one-off keys conflucts with web of trust based filtering. I did a podcast episode with nostr:nprofile1qy28wumn8ghj7un9d3shjctzd3jjummjvuhsz9thwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjme0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskuep0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0qyd8wumn8ghj7urewfsk66ty9enxjct5dfskvtnrdakj7qgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhx6mmnw3ezuur4vghsz9thwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxyee0qydhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnrda5kuen4dejxjapwvdhk6tcpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6vpj9eukz6mfdphkumn99e3k7mf0qyfhwumn8ghj7ur4wfcxcetsv9njuetn9uqzqqqqqqphw4qzgy6etty7zcfta4ggs90f3mz248tg5f3glas4fpt0ukfflp on identity management, and supplementing wot with third party claims.
TRADEOFFS BUT CAN BE MITIGATED, I THINK.

APPRECIATE YOU SIR. WILL GIVE IT A LISTEN.
It's a good one. And yeah, huge tradeoffs, with a really interesting spectrum. For example, if you try to protect your privacy by using one-off keys for every website, you've just re-created single-use logins, but with no password recovery. We have to come up with a framework for when to generate a new key, when to re-use one, and which key to re-use — then of course make software that helps users manage that complexity.
the spammers do this every second
I love Amethyst. They're always leading the way
 FREEDOM TECH WILL WIN. 🫡
Have you seen Get Wired yet? It's exactly this.

https://www.getwired.app
You would think this idea would be the standard?
I wish I can just have one npub as main and every comment is done with disposable npub one time use only. I wish I could double tap or hold the comment button on amethyst and just do this instead of copy your npub. Make new npub. Find your note then comment.
Absolutely agree! Amethyst is setting a great example by championing disposable identities for online privacy. Let's all support this movement for a safer and more secure online experience. #privacywin #onlinespeech #supportdisposableidentities 🌟🔒👏
Reminder: Get Wired facilitates single use npubs with anonymous communication over Nostr. https://www.getwired.app

Completely ephemeral content is as important as the completely permanent, the future will be about getting both just right!
Is there a nip for this? I would assume that you would also publish to different relays, right? @Vitor Pamplona
Is there a specific feature you are refering to?

Or just the ability to have multiple accounts?
I believe nostur has a feature to repsond from multiple npubs so that you don't have to switch accounts and then find the note again to interact.
 Yes, it’s brilliant.
 love that
 Nostur keeps it weirdo
 I USE MY REAL FACE.

AND MY REAL NAME.

BUILT DIFFERENT.
This not always an option for everybody especially in communist countries.
 I understand.

It feels like a responsibility.
 Or the UK
 essential throwaway accounts?
How do single use npubs work?

Jordan Peterson is having an aneurism somewhere

 100℅

Let's normalize all clients supporting nsecbunkers and normalize conversation around nsec security.

Even when using a nym, nsecs become valuable as content and social graph grows.

Or nostr:nprofile1qqswyj5xjs7n02g6kjzad7d8cesf0sjam4n730gmwhkj223uyek0nwcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhs4ugx6a support on the web app?
Aren’t Npubs already disposable if you just never log back in with your Nsec? Or are you talking about Npubs that you can set to self-delete after a post? I just don’t see the point.
How do you do this in #amethyst? Am I retarded?
Switch account, create a new account?
The way he wrote this post makes it sound like there's an easier workflow than making a new account, finding the same note, replying, then deleting the account. I would love if this was just a long press on the reply button or something like that
I see. A "post/reply anonymously" button that will create a new nsec transparently and use that to post.
 That’s cool
 @Karnage it’s happening.
 👏
 🫡
Why is this something we should pursue? 🤔

#Asknostr
Instead the better solution is that clients ask for the npub when you write a note .. you should be able to choose one from all your identities .. while reading ( display ) needs no npub ..

Saying cuz disposable npubs will create unnecessary clutter ..

 I like it it’s smart
Sorta like breaking the links between sender and receiver onchain when transferring value... 🤔

Woah concept

This might be important

 👀
Without money or reputation your disposable publications will become exactly that: disposable.

eCash solves the money part.
I'm very curious what can solve the reputation part.

  @zach

I have a mission for you
I heard about this Amethyst feature a few times but I have never found where it is located? Does it require a special version of Amethyst?
 STRONG 💪
I don't get it. Is it automatic? How is login persistence managed?
On my case the user has to specifically save is profile to disk and then extract/save the nsec to elsewhere.

Most users will never do this, they just visit with a instantly created account to play around and never use it again.
Please report to the UK for your attitude adjustment.
Will implement this at @ZapAdd so you can bulk zaps anonymously
one-time-use npubs are kinda silly, by definition they provide no assurance of authorship by anyone of credibility - it's about as useful as anon mode in reddit

the problem of anonymous credibility in a decentralised protocol is not easy, but it's possible, watch this space
I do this to bridge folks from Tiktok to Nostr, but the incentive to drive the adoption is fed by providing education services.

So users get a "single player" app that creates an npub for them and from there they get exposed to things and make their own choices.

 Great purple pill 👌
What’s the use case for disposable IDs? Isn’t that an oxymoron?
Sometimes you just want to participate at something without creating a permanent identity. These disposable IDs disappear when you exit the service and exhausted their purpose. Similar to a session cookie for web pages.
So, it’s not an ID but rather an anonymous access key.
 Basically.
 I definitely support this!
This is on our roadmap. Disposable npub allows option for private market purchases while still leaving the option to post a verifiable review.
Already doing that. Whenever accessing the service is created an nsec identity on the spot which can be saved as permanent if desired, or to log into an existing nsec.
 What about HD Nostr keys
I started with $1000. And got back $6k after 6hrs of investing, it’s totally legit and safe to invest in and thanks to my coach @coachalex0 Dm him now and start earning
 This makes soooo much sense
