 ADHD is a super power
ADHD + coffee can be a scary superpower
 300%
 Which is?
 Really?
Yeah big time. I’d say it’s responsible for most of my success.
 It’s stressful 😥

 Opinions vary.
If you have adhd and you’re finding it to be a detriment I’d suggest taking more risks and putting yourself in more chaos. Has always worked out for me historically lol 😂
This is exactly true. I operate best in a crisis or under an urgent procrastination generated deadline.
With great ADHD comes great irresponsibility
True, gotta find out what works for you. Also, for everyone self diagnoding: your TikTok addiction is not ADHD 😂
 How?
The H is the superpower part.
 That's the Hodl part
 Exactly
 everybody is on the spectrum
 How can I have ADHD?

What are symptoms?

 do u take meds?
Sometimes it feels like it, other times it's just lonely hiding my light under a bushel so as to avoid blinding my loved ones.
IDK about that haha. my youngest son has it and I mean he actually has it and not just boy energy.
Challenges with spatial awareness(multiple scars on his head from running into things) and his ability to focus for school have been pretty detrimental to him. the emotional regulation that comes with it is also tough to parent as well. He is an absolute joy and there are positives to it(such as his excitement towards things is contagious) but dang does it make it tough. He has 500% of my energy all day.
 u listen to huberman?
 Sometimes
 ok - this is weird.

the other day i was talking to my wife about whether or not to let our kid take meds for adhd.

the next day this huberman episode about adhd popped up on spotify - it’s great actually.

i figured you posted this because u heard it - i.e.- i thought it was the most recent episode, but i went back and looked and it’s from 2021.

spotify recommended a 3 year old ep of a podcast i listen to the day after a convo about the topic.

fucking creepy.
One of the best things my parents ever did for me was refuse to put me on speed. My adhd made me a bad student but I gave me a great life. Still sucks around tax time though lol 😂 trade offs…
How did it give you a great life? (serious question)
The “H” is the main superpower.

If I find something interesting or exciting it’s very easy for me to lock in on it for long stretches of time. I’m also able to do a lot of work under tight time constraints. I seem to rise to the occasion in pressure situations where others may falter. I’m very creative and intuitive. Charisma and energy. Good in conversation etc…

There’s a long list actually.

But none of these things kick in if my attention isn’t captured. So I can’t turn it on. It just comes on by itself and only for things I’m called towards.
 I wouldn’t exactly call you charismatic! J/k
baader meinhof phenomenon is most likely whats going on but yeah
Your phone is always creepin
As a father to 3 successful, well adjusted men and a teenage boy I can tell you that (including myself when i was young), we were all told we ad adhd at some point.
Its a bullshit, made up condition to get your kid on some life long prescription. I do think that these MDs believe what they’re saying, but the schools they went to are all subsidized by big pharma. A sick kid is worth millions over their lifetime if they’re on daily meds.
