 True. Zaps are much more direct, fair, and satisfying than X's opaque monetization scheme, which is prone to all sorts of algorithmic gamesmanship. It's likely this superior feature of Nostr is what eventually draws a larger user base of people tired of paying $8-10 a month to play the game imo.

 Agreed. Tumblr had post tipping before nostr came into existence and it was a rather attractive feature for most bloggers, albeit not as heavily used as zaps are on nostr.
