I watched the Ted Talk for this and I was like; what a stupid product. Six years later and $230M raised from investors like Sam Altman from OpenAi and it’s a flop. The founders were both from Apple. How can so many talented people not see that just because something is kind of cool in a demo; it doesn’t mean it’s a good product that people will be willing to pay $700 for? https://image.nostr.build/f4fd14178c7fd6731d4b3166839629a47fe27c4eb5a9f7f5de19c73207efc9ea.jpg
What is it doing?
Going out of business apparently.
Complete stupidity. Went down the AI rabbit hole. In the end, realised there no actual business here. Only hopium from a bunch of nerds that want god in the circuits. We open sourced the model we built, and moved onto something more useful.
There are tons of *complimentary* use cases, but none of them stand on their own. Ai without a mountain of software and direct, functional implementation is just frustrating. But you can get it to do all kinds of things if you are building software around it for specific tasks and you design it FPR those tasks. But everyone trying to create an all encompassing ehuman assistant is chasing air, imo.
