I feel pity for the vets actually. The ones that think they served everyday people are unfortunately delusional. The banks used them as cannon fodder and as a financial hedge. Disgusting.
A lot of them didn’t get used at all. They LOVED it. Every minute of it. They’re depressed because they get sent home & can’t drink & vape with their psycho friends anymore abroad.
And they took the money for college or some other charity.

Fuck em.
Well, that definitely isn't the case. There are plenty of good soldiers and plenty of bad ones. War hasn't changed in even the slightest in that regard. Some get depressed because they can't deal with whatever blood they may have on their hands and some because they just miss being involved in war.
only thing I miss from my time in, the camaraderie. I guess I miss jumping from planes sometimes too, but that's about it.
Same. Honestly, I loved most of my time in. I was part of a pretty good company of men. Flying around in planes and choppers was really fun, too. After a while you begin to realize how you're not making any difference, though. Then ya move on... or try to, anyway.
I did enjoy being in aircraft. Met a lot of good friends and did some cool and good things CONUS and OCONUS. Saw and did some stuff that was and same for bad. Didn't think it was at the time but as it kept going I just couldn't keep going. I saw we were getting nowhere. I saw too many friends die for what I began to realize was for nothing.

When I got out and started going down the path where I am now BTC seemed to fit inline with new viewpoint and philosophy. I stumbled across Bitcoin Veterans by accident when talking to nostr:nprofile1qqsd846pynwlkk7uvxu0rrghcve4hw6033c3s234acnnzjjf5n4hk8gppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshsz8thwden5te0dehhxarj9e3xjarrda5kuetj9eek7cmfv9kz7msfzzy on here. I had no clue about it. I'm very thankful for nostr because I have no clue how long it would have taken me. Pretty solid community and it's been great to see a group of people with real-world skills who function well in high stress accomplish so much like what they are doing in NC
Followed both the Bitcoin Veteran community and nostr:nprofile1qqsd846pynwlkk7uvxu0rrghcve4hw6033c3s234acnnzjjf5n4hk8gppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshsz8thwden5te0dehhxarj9e3xjarrda5kuetj9eek7cmfv9kz7msfzzy. Thanks!
Join us on Signal? We have group chats on all sorts of things. Regional chats are for vets only. Topical chats (like radio and guns) are open to all.
Maybe. I still want to see what kind of feel I'll get from the Bitcoin Veterans community first🫡.
 I don't think you'll be disappointed
At least get plugged into some groups. You can sit back and observe the proof of work happening behind the scenes. Very much worth it IMHO.
I will, eventually. I'm trying to understand what Gitcitadel is working on. That's been my focus for a while now. I'm still looking around for other communities to follow, though.
You will meet a lot of good people. Many retarded.
 Good. I'll fit right in.
This is the viewpoint from within the Bitcoin Veterans community. It's one of the reasons a lot of vets like Bitcoin is to try and break that and limit warfare as a whole IMO. It should only be a last resort and not one that is cheap to accomplish. The only good things that have ever come out of war are medical and technological advancement, but one for necessity and the other for destruction.
 Yup.
Took me some time to realize this.
