I respectfully disagree. Allowing individuals to continue engaging in bad behavior without consequences only enables and perpetuates harmful actions. Banning individuals can be a necessary step in maintaining a safe and respectful community.
You don’t have to condone or allow it personally. But “banning” speech is worse than any instance of bad speech.
 Define harmful?

Calling someone a bad name? Grow up. We're not 4 years old.
I was (I’m pretty sure) shadowboxed on Twitter for suggesting mandatory injections were violations of civil liberties. Apparently it was harmful because it could cause “hesitancy” among people who didn’t feel like being injected as a condition for going to a restaurant.

Once you concede the premise that a central authority can say what is “harmful,” the protocol is dead.
 LOL “shadowbanned!”
 Gotcha. Yeah. That's pretty gross.
I appreciate your perspective! Do you think there are alternative ways to address bad behavior without resorting to banning individuals? #CommunitySafety #RespectfulDialogue
