I'm a bit of a novice here...am I beyond pulling this off or is there maybe a solid tutorial I could follow on YouTube or elsewhere? I'm interested just not sure how to move forward.
I guess that's a good starting point from @BTCsessions https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxdf8G0kzsUXSgv6TahOzg5mhNNprVKjM&si=YQc4wVadGabj8stV

If you just want a Bitcoin Node, it's really easy, just don't put any BTC on it (Bitcoin core has a built-in wallet) and you've got nothing to lose. Hardest part was deciding what hardware to run it on (raspberry pi or a laptop/pc/cloud) and if I should use a service like Umbrel or build it from sourcecode myself (I chose the last one since it's just 3 lines of commands, but you have to configure tor as well, which was fine but only do that if you're not scared of command prompt 🙂) conclusion: everyone can do it, let me know if you need help!
Appreciate that!
@BTCsessions made a solid video using @Start9 to run bitcoin core and other services. But yea, you can also just purchase a 1TB or 2TB SSD hard drive from best buy and download bitcoin core directly! https://youtu.be/DKBJ3_3ZomU?feature=shared
