They haven’t moved though, why can’t you guys JUST cut it out with the cheerleading bullshit? The russkies are hanging out and smoking in the same shit-filled trenches they were a year ago. We aren’t women on twitter, just be realistic, it dishonors their sacrifice to keep up the rah-rah bullshit. 

It’s always rosy nonsense like “Beating them back!” and “slaughtering hundreds of ZIGGERS in (village that’s more like an intersection)”, instead of being honest about those boys’ suffering and sacrifice. Among men it’s not demoralizing, it’s respectful. Women need the lies as if every day is a fresh victory - we do not.

There’s no shame in not making huge progress against an entrenched enemy when you’re bereft of everything you’d need to blow their lines wide open. Your team is showing a tremendous, dogged amount of grit, and no matter what my misgivings are about its place in history, it’s still impressive to see them keep on pressing. 

Honor isn’t found only in victory.
