 @d4b81373 I'm thinking Kapton tape to protect the other components, hot air to remove the chip then drag soldering to put the new one in. 
 @67db1784 I never bother with the kapton tape but I'm quick and I've had a lot of practice - in general it's a good idea. 

Drag soldering is the easiest way of doing it if you don't have a fine tip, an excellent soldering iron, steady hands and a good microscope.
