What a sad picture...
To watch the EU "leaders" of Germany, France, and many others show their true colors, the USA administration is changing and thus thei EU leaders policy toward the East...
All the EU subordinates that until yesterday were war mongers and will shout at any attempt of dialogue or peace talks ( Orban from Hungary and Robert Fico from Slovakia being the only ones with the balls to speak truth to power and there was an attempt on the life of Fico ) are now in line changing their tune speaking of diplomacy and the possibility of a peace treaty
After this, it should be quite clear Brussels does not govern itself, it has a boss and it is USA...
I would assume Europeans are waking up to this fact in anger, they don't vote in the US elections and their leader do not represent their interests but the ones of a foreign state...
The new US administration already anounced will increase tariffs and reduce net income taxes to 0% to workers making less than $100K, the difference in tax collection will be covered by tariffs, those companies that wants to sell their products in USA will have to pay the tariff or open factories in US territorry hiring Americans to avoid the tariffs...
Brilliant plan and very good for Americans, the median class will finally get some oxygen,
As for Eurooe, much worst, following the USA policies the German economy is in big troubles, no more cheap gas and oil from Russia, factories are closing and the workers losing their jobs and going into poverty levels not seen in Germany for decades, Germany is the industrial and economic muscle of Europe, now is barely surviving by itself, winter is coming and it will be worst if they do not take control of their foreign policy and start doing the right thing for their citizens. I assume revolutions will come in Europe, political ones... Meanwhile its citizens are experiencing recession and economic difficulties, harsh tines ahead ...
The UK left the EU for just that reason. It's so frustrating to have your 'leaders' not representing you, and then whenever they get called out they just say 'oh well we would've done the right thing, but the nasty EU wouldn't let us do it'. So it's good to take away that excuse at least. Although of course they have infinite other excuses.
true, probably more countries now will learn the lesson and exit to, perhaps towards BRICS since now they have options that could compensate and with not much to lose considering the current state of affairs
Maybe Europeans will stand up from their knees, although I doubt it, while in EU I observed something similar than in USA, apathy
have to agree, but not all countries, some still have fire on them, have not been broken, like Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia (not yet in the EU but European country), Poland, Netherlands, Portugal and Greece...
Portugal is questionable, the latest poll showed 80% of the young wanted Kamala to win in USA thus, supporting liberal crazy policies which are a virus spreading in western European countries... it is fracturing the population into two bands, the divide and conquer scheme doesn't get old
good point, yet, the X generation and boomers are fed up and will probably push back, I have no hope whatsoever with the Zs, it is sad to watch
I doubt it, what I have seen in Portugal is a lost cause, the apathy is very tangible
