Real estate is a shitcoin since you have to pay protection money on it no matter where you are. You can't defend the land you live and work on against the state.

Before this, real estate/land was actually a pretty solid asset that you could pass on and expand for generations. To be able to root your family in a spot that you own so long as you can defend it is very valuable.
