@c6f37363 I don’t understand the fear about TikTok (or the appeal of TikTok)- if China wants personal info about Americans it would be easier to just buy it from data brokers, since there is no meaningful privacy protection here.
@63e41be8 My sense is that Warner is more concerned over the possibility of China deciding what content gets amplified or not on TikTok--the social-media bills he's introduced have focused more on disinformation and propaganda risks.
@c6f37363 that makes more sense but honestly the domestic platforms are scary on their own!
