the lefties are up in arms because Milei is trying to make a law by which cutting off the streets (piquetes) is punishable by three to 24 months in jail.

piquetes have been a cancer to the productivity of Argentina for decades, a daily sight that has been fucking up with non-leeches for far too long.

Cuttin off the streets is also stupid. Why do they do that? to get the attention of people who are already late for work and can´t be bothered to listen to quotes from Das Kapital.
it's way worse than that; they utterly paralyze the country. These protests are huge, thousands and thousands of people cutting out all the key entry/exit points to the city. Very often cutting off the train tracks.

They are useless scam, but they are incredibly well-organized and know exactly where to choke production.
What I wrote was an understatement, my apologies. It must be incredibly frustrating for argentinians, but hopefully these people will come to their senses (unlikely though).
 Let the commies cry
 fucking retards
 FCK socialism! 🔥
Agreed that they are leaches but this is actually bad for freedom of protest.

It creates a precedent to make right to protest more “permissioned”, any human rights lawyer will say.
I’m all for freedoms, but this “piquetes” got out of hand for over 20 years.
Protesting is still legal.
these scum hide behind this line of thinking

these are not protests, this is coercion
That’s what Trudeau said about the truckers.
Truckers paralyzed the country to not have something enforced on them.

These scum paralyze the country to enforce something on others.

Not the same.
Of course they are not the same, but that’s beside the point.

Just like with bitcoin, we don’t allow any central party to determine which transactions are accepted or not. We cannot have a central party dictating which protest are okay which ones are not
Does it ban protesting completely? Seems he’s just banning them from the physical roads. If that’s the case then that’s a good thing imo blocking roads just punishes the productive
Occupy Wall Street, Trucker convoy,… many VERY LEGITIMATE protests had an impact because they STOPPED society from functioning in order to address an important area of concern. By blocking roads.

As much as we hate the commies we should respect their right to protest, so that we can use the same right when they trample over our rights again.

Banning roads is a slippery slope that will lead to authoritarianism.
They've been blocking the roads and all access to the city for literally decades demanding handouts and toppling any government that doesn't comply.

A newspaper prints something they don't like? They will literally do a piquete in front of the printing centers and stop distribution.

This is not a spontaneous manifestation, this is akin to an internal army extorting a kidnapped population for decades.
These don’t sound like protamine, sounds like an organised criminal org.

That’s what should be banned, not street protests. Klaus Schwab is gloating right now
 Protests* lol
it is an organized criminal organization, no doubt.
it's a cult, the Cult of Saturn, the original temple is on top of Capitoline Hill in Rome, and this is why they call them capitals, that's just a misspelling

they worship death, decay and disorder and achieve it mainly through a scam called government, whether it's liberal democracy, constitutional monarchy, or monarchy/despotism, they have been doing it for thousands of years

low end criminals steal and trick you into giving them access to your stuff

high end criminals tell you it's for your safety
So when truckers in Canada protest it’s alright but when people block the streets in Argentina it is not?

How is this not hypocrisy?

The same like pro-syndicalist laws prevent entrepreneurs from instantly firing contract-breakers (men on strike).
