I mean, I know how research outfits  work and PIs don’t do everything and delegation and division of labor and blah blah blah. The point is that your name is on the goddamn paper and you’re taking all the credit, so guess what, you don’t get to socialize the risk by saying “Look I am blameless because obviously I don’t even know how this stuff got produced”. 

 @758831d4 I suppose that the more charitable interpretation is that she doesn’t have any of the records she meticulously kept because Harvard seized all of the computers she kept the records on at the beginning of the investigation. Or perhaps that is the impression her statement means to imply without actually saying.
