I'm about to ditch Crypto Chome (Brave). What are people using as browsers on desktop and mobile these days? Ungoogled Chromium looks decent: https://flathub.org/apps/io.github.ungoogled_software.ungoogled_chromium
Bromite for Android too. Same idea, share some of the same codebase: https://github.com/bromite/bromite
Bromite is abandoned. It's a security risk now. Use chromite instead 😎 https://github.com/uazo/cromite
I'm using Brave now. I would like a better solution, which combines some of Tor's features with those of a browser for everyday browsing. I'm reading about browsers like LibreWolf and Iridium, but I'm not ready to leave Brave yet, mainly because I also like the idea of BAT and use it to buy some Sats.
Firefox. Also LibreWolf on Linux and Mull on Android for already hardened version.
This combo is really nice. Badger ftw 🦡
I use LibreWolf on desktop and Vivaldi on mobile
Curious to know what's wrong in your opinion with Brave besides being a shitcoiner browser?
Mainly that to be honest! Also, they serve ads. I just don't trust them.
Thinking about doing the same
Librewolf + Mull is a great combo. Tab and bookmark syncing between them. The Librewolf (FF) rendering is much sharper for me too.
Thanks for the advice 🙏
Whats wrong with brave? I've turned off their wallet stuff and installed the Alby extension tied to my own node, works great.
Still loads of bloat in there.
Is there a consensus on duckduckgo?
Massively better than Google, but they are still ad funded ergo you are the product. Kagi is very good paid search and you can pay with bitcoin.
Sheesh, it’s exhausting trying to find the ideal thing to use where you aren’t the product while also hoping that the product you’re using is able to monetize their business in an ethical way.
It's simple really; pay for stuff.
I use duckduckgo for search engine but is there a browser also?
Yea I’ve been using the duckduckgo browser for close to a year now and it’s really solid. https://duckduckgo.com/ But I’m also now trying to wrap my head around how all these guys make money.

Ungoogled Chromium and LibreWolf are great.
I've been using Mullvad browser for nostr on desktop for a few days. There are likely some settings in the browser that I haven't found and tweeked yet but I do feel like it's quite clean. nostr:nevent1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qguwaehxw309ahx7um5wgcjuar4dehx2mrnv968xtnrdakj7qg7waehxw309ahx7um5wgkhqatz9emk2mrvdaexgetj9ehx2ap0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wd9hxvme0qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttjv4kxz7fwwak8vuewwdcxzcm99uq36amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3dxqcjucn0d36zummzwdjhyan9wghszxnhwden5te0wfjkcctev4ezuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mf0qyw8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnnwa5hxuedv4hxjemdvyhxx6p0qyvhwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnndehhyapwwdhkx6tpdshszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7qpq6eaq6agy4qxv7c46rtk6yzu795f696gq5rz2znv3fugh67fdz0psrn2mw5
