Yup. On GrapheneOS is depleting it like almost 10% per hour on standby. It's a true problem.

Yes I do if I remember correctly. I have Amethyst blocked being in the background.
Seems this relay architecture requires lots of polling and is not really solved by clients yet...eventually, as its an optimization.
For optimal user experience, I believe that enhancing battery life in Simplex Chat's "always on" mode is a crucial improvement. When can we expect this issue to be resolved and the app's energy efficiency to be significantly improved?

F-Droid takes a while to approve the updates, you can get it directly from SimpleX's repo instead but you will need to uninstall the app first due to having different signatures https://app.simplex.chat

Actually, in a way it is, it's not THE Nostr protocol but it is notes (messages) and (not really other stuff) transmitted by relays.
