Coronaviruses generally dont build durable immunity like Measles or ChickenPox. And durable immunity still isnt guaranteed in those situations, hence a series of vaccines

Finally surrendered my “last man standing” card and contracted COVID a month ago. Much better now. 
 @066263a7 Natural repetitive exposure may actually reduce your immunity in Covid. 

Lets say in 2021 I get the delta variant. I develop an immune template/imprint for that delta variant. 

Then in 2022 Omicron variant. The template from delta works well enough that its a similar course of illness.

But in 2023, The Pirola variant comes along. Our immune system is still using the delta template, but Pirola is so different  it kicks our ass this time.

Thats why i dont recommend nat immunity.
