 this looks incredible 🤗

for someone that's completely unfamiliar, what's the process of making something like this?
Well first you start with the design you want to needlepoint - I just took @ltngstore ‘s popular t-shirt design - and create a pattern for stitching it (think pixel art) within your desired size (8.5x11 inches) for whatever canvas pt you plan to use. I’m pretty sure this one was 13pt mono canvas - basically 13 stitches per inch.

Next pick out your yarn colors and stitch your design! I used the most common stitch for the yellow - a diagonal from bottom left to top right / and then a different type of stitch for the background.

After completing the needlepoint part, I got a board and a backing fabric and sewed it together to put in the bottom of my acrylic tray that is specifically made for needlepoint art!

Most commonly with needlepoint you purchase a canvas with a design painted on it, and then just stitch like paint by numbers, and then send it off to a ‘finisher’ to finish it into an ornament, pillow, belt, etc etc for you. https://image.nostr.build/c5a58e6f08fb01f5ad1ad11edd749651d76a1c25e5a9d31bed62bf480c1df335.jpg https://image.nostr.build/5a1b9dab300cf985368fd6a38f8188d8b15efc231c3511cb19cc8645a0cf0c9d.jpg https://image.nostr.build/79c748d07c9ea1d13641e2c2d76bb7ddf3dfdaf37c6b46d1156bac19ce463dcb.jpg
Here is a canvas I painted & would sell for someone else to stitch (the common way people needlepoint) https://image.nostr.build/99cfb08a44cc10df6a0afc7ed71c6aa128f6ec94a46821fe4407b47ebaaae4da.jpg
