on the radio, they play ads for movies WITH THE DIALOG DUBBED. ON THE RADIO. [voiceover] “… con George Clooney …” movie clip: [some random Spanish guy saying George Clooney’s lines] completely mental.
Same in Argentina (I guess we inherited that shit too). Dubbing is so stupidizing, it vanishes the effort of listening to a foreign language and/or trying to learn it. I asked a Swede why in their country everyone spoke English so good and the answer was simple: they don’t dub, they consume media as it comes and read the fucking subtitles if needed.
