@b3ce1cc6 or multiple types of Fediverse accounts
@f50dbb78 the Heroku successor is something I’ve been chasing for years.

Does FlyIO https://fly.io or Railway https://railway.app/ come close?

Are there others that you know of that you like?
If anyone on #TrainJam wins the lottery, please take me on this deluxe travel + food trip.

“The Transcantábrico Train takes 8 days and 7 nights between San Sebastián and Santiago de Compostela (or vice versa)…aboard a luxurious hotel on rails surrounded by glamour, with exclusive attention and maximum comfort.”

@0d461113 ha! Replying to me already puts a copy onto my server. The server in this case is just WordPress rather than Mastodon.

(Yes, people will complain. Most especially with WPdotcom)
"However, browsers selling users to search engines to keep the web going is a bit like selling weapons in a war zone to bankroll cancer research."

Robin Berjon @4adb072c suggests that we need to fix search on the Internet. And yes it means figuring out how to fund browsers, too. https://berjon.com/fixing-search/
The interesting part of having blogs or other systems federate natively probably isn’t being a bad substitute for RSS.

But rather, to intertwingle comments/Mastodon replies, likes, boosts, and so on.

And to make it that much easier to have great content on the Fediverse. As open standards we CAN build a really big diverse network.

WordPressDotCom enabling a “Login with Fediverse” would be another strong piece I’d like to see.
